Choosing Square Columns

In additions to the dimensions, here are the style details you want to consider when you choose one of our square Craftsman columns:

Tapered or Non-Tapered: You have a choice between tapered or non-tapered Craftsman columns. Non-tapered columns are less expensive.

Panel Style: You have several options when it comes to the panel style of square columns. Plain columns are less expensive. Fluted columns have a more formal elegance. Fluted panels are available on tapered columns, but in our view appear strange. Other panel styles include: recessed, raised and double-raised or double recessed panels.

Load-bearing vs Non Load-bearing: Our PVC  Craftsman Column wraps are designed to go around existing post and pillars. They aren't load-bearing because the existing post or pillar is there to do the work. If you need a load-bearing square column, choose one of our Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer (FRP) columns.
